Grand Tableau yule 2020 – part 2
As visible in previous article, on the vertical axis external-internal influences, the querent is subject to external influences (the cards above the significator), and has no internal influence at all (no cards below the significator): it seems that the querent experiences forces that are out of his control.
Let’s look more into the horizontal axis past-present

A new situation develops at work and in private, Santa Muerte enters the field.

The scythe signals the time of harvesting, much work for small profit, many worries, a path of thorns.
2♠ is a fitting summary of this reading: a duel, a rift, a breaking with the past.

Grand Tableau yule 2020 – part 1
For this grand tableau I use the card meanings of hedgewitchery cartomancy and the Coven of Cards combined with some methods of the new world witchery guide to cartomancy
I put the Joker as my significator in the complete deck and played the tableau in 4×13, leaving the last card out as a overall oracle for this spread.
To keep the first reading simple, I will focus on the significator and the nearest cards, later on I will expand on other significant cards.
First impression, Significator 00 is nearby the middle of the bottom row where A♠ stands at the center.
The significator is surrounded by challenging black cards!
The oracle is overall summarised by the last card 2♠, crossing swords, a duel!
A♣-Q♠-9♣: Beginning to work with the Dark Lady will change my way of Working.
Q♣-00-A♠: The Reaping Wife gives the querent the blade to work with.
Looking at the vertical influences on the Significator:
8♠-4♠-1♠-00-2♠: Challenging meditations during lockdown will connect the Dark Lady with the Querent, who will have to confront the Guardian on the threshold.

Runes
The Runes started talking to me after I read Ralph Blum’s Book of Runes, along with the Runic Poems.
Blum made his own intuitive approach on the Runes, so I use this way of looking alongside the available scientific documentation.
My working with the Runes became challenging when I met Folkish Asatru who insisted on Aryan bloodlines (not available in my ancestry).
Then it felt like cultural appropriation to keep working with the Runes. Suprisingly I still feel some affinity with Grimnir. Go figure !
Using the runes as ‘gates’, chanting the sounds, imitating the rune-forms in your body…reminds me of certain Hindu-magick practices.
Singing and carving the runes for trance work and/or magick sounds like seidhr/galdr as hinted in the Edda and Sagas.
Besides the magical part , there is also the religious part, considering the idea that Freya taught Seidhr and Odin taught Runes…
IMHO connecting with the Nordic Gods and Spirits is prerequisite of working with Runes, Seidhr, Galdr.

Wandelen in schoonheid
ik wandel in schoonheid

Ik onderzoek de manier waarop wandelen heilzaam kan zijn voor lichaam en geest.
Zomaar wat zegswijzen die ik tegenkom:
‘Even wandelen, de benen strekken, het hoofd leegmaken’
Als ik echt in volle bewustzijn kan wandelen, dan kan ik mijn eigen lijf en tevens mijn omgeving goed ervaren, mijn relatie met mezelf en mijn omgeving verbeteren.
Als ik dit ook met anderen in dezelfde intentie kan doen, versterken we elkaars aandacht en aanwezigheid!

Droom: stilstaand water-00
In de overgang van waken naar slapen..
Met mijn speer in de hand vroeg ik Beer
Wat te doen?
Aan het einde van de nacht kwam een beeld: stilstaand water!
Later moest ik denken aan Yemaya Assesu, me afvragend of het beeld van stilstaand water bij Haar past.
“In the Americas, the title “Yemaya Assesu” is Yemaya of the Brackish Water, the estuaries, the places where salt and sweet water mix. “
Nee, kennelijk past stilstaand water niet bij deze Godin!
Ha! Weer meer helderheid in de vertroebeling!

Meeting the challenge of Lockdown
What can I do in these weird times?
1 “Maintain your spiritual practice”
Keeping up with my meditations, prayers and offerings tot the lesser and greater gods/spirits of the ancestors and this land.
Listening to their voices/visions.
Check and doublecheck the gathered information
Acting on clear advice.
2 “Don’t worry about being ‘productive’”
Working in the cloud with a busy connection is slow business!
Watching out for RSI-related problems, taking enough breaks tot stretch and move.
3 “This is not the time to dwell on long-term plans”
This situation feels very fluid, changing every day.
“At this point we simply don’t know how long this will last, and we have no way of knowing what the world and our part of it will look like when it’s over.”
4 “Keep your divination specific and short-term”
Never mind doing the great card spread…
I will stick to one-card or one-stone oracles, one-throw Yi Jing!
5 “Watch for what you’re overlooking”
“Keep your eyes open for political opportunism, exploitation, and profiteering.
Various spiritual persons are also trying to take advantage of this situation….
honoring and following the Gods should be our first priority, they are not the only spiritual beings who can impact our world and our lives.
There are ancestors, Nature spirits, and the Good Neighbors,…
And some of them are seeking allies.

Choose your allies carefully.”

Droom: offeren aan de voorouders
Ik volgde een stoet van Molukse mensen, die in een lange stoet liepen door de duinen, parallel aan het strand.
Ze waren op weg naar een grote tent, om te offeren aan de voorouders.
Ik besefte dat ik geen Molukse voorouders had, maar voelde dat het voor mij belangrijk was om hier aan mee te doen.
Onderweg zag ik wat offers, die op het strand waren achtergelaten.
De tent deed me denken aan de tabernakel
Omdat het heel druk was, bleef ik even buiten zitten…
Toen ik buiten zat, huilde ik met gesloten ogen vanwege de herinnering aan gestorven voorouders….
Maar toen ik mijn ogen opendeed, was iedereen al bezig om naar buiten te gaan…
Ik ging eindelijk naar binnen, maar wist niet waar ik moest offeren.
Toen ik ernaar vroeg, lieten ze me de offermand zien op de hoge tafel.
Tenslotte legde ik mijn offers in de offermand….
Toen ik ontwaakte in de dagelijkse werkelijkheid, heb ik op mijn altaar opnieuw een offer gebracht.
Duiding: afgelopen nachten heb ik in halfslaap gevraagd om hulp bij soul-retrieval , kennelijk kan ik die hulp vragen aan de voorouders!

Vanuit shamanistisch perspectief gezien, ervaar ik deze virale actie als een seculiere variant van het oproepen van Beer als genezer!
De Ojibwe hebben een bijzonder lied voor Beer:

Seidh, tweede nieuwe maan sinds winterzonnewende 2019
Vandaag weer de eerste bijeenkomst Seidh in het nieuwe jaar.
Contact gemaakt met Verthandi…
het beeld dat bij mij naar boven komt is de Vrouwe die in haar linkerhand diverse strengen draden in verschillende kleuren van haar voorganger Urth ontvangt, vervolgens ontstaan er nieuwe combinaties van draden tussen haar handen.
Sommige draden gaan zelfstandig verder, andere mengen zich met andere draden tot veelkleurige weefsels.
Uiteindelijk gaan alle combinaties weer verder via haar rechterhand naar de volgende Zuster Skuld….
Met hulp van de Vrouwe het orakel geraadpleegd, wat moet ik met de
Nieuwjaarsboodschap 2020 Asagrim?
Is het een persoonlijke boodschap met betrekking tot mijn eigen situatie, of is het een boodschap voor het grotere geheel?
Bij de duiding van het orakel blijkt, dat deze boodschap betrekking heeft op het grotere geheel, iets waar ik weinig invloed op kan hebben, maar waarvoor ik wel hulp mag aanroepen bij Asagrim.
Vandaag is chinees nieuwjaar van de gouden rat…
De astrologen zeggen:

…
Dat is dan weer heel anders dan de reputatie van Rat in het Westen, dan wordt de associatie gelegd met de Zwarte Dood.
In het licht van het Corona Virus moet ik ook hier aan denken, vooral in combinatie met de boodschap van Asagrim krijg ik de associatie van de Apocalyps!
In deze donkere tijden is het goed om te weten dat ik gesteund wordt vanuit de andere werkelijkheid, en dat ik ook in de alledaagse werkelijkheid steun ervaar van mensen om me heen!
