A song was heard in China
in the city of Beijing.
In the spring of 1989
you could hear the people sing.
And it was the song of freedom
that was ringing in the square,
the world could feel the passion of
the people gathered there.

For many nights and many days,

“To build a better nation”
was the song that echoed there.
“For we are China’s children,
we love our native land,

Then came the People’s army
with trucks and tanks and guns.
The government was frightened
of their daughters and their sons.
But in the square was courage and
a vision true and fair,
the Army of the People would not harm
the young ones there.

On June the 3rd in China,
in the spring of ’89,
an order came from high above
and passed on down the line.
The soldiers opened fire,
young people bled and died,
the blood of thousands on the square
that lies can never hide.

For four more days of fury
the people faced the guns.
How many thousands slaughtered
when their grisly work was done?
they quickly burned the bodies
to hide their coward’s shame,
but blood is thick upon their hands and
darkness on their names.

There are tears that flow in China
for her children that are gone.
There is fear and there is hiding,
for the killing still goes on.
And the iron hand of terror can
buy silence for today,
but the blood that lies upon the square
cannot be washed away.

Vreedzame matriarchale culturen, zoals geponeerd door Gimbutas etc, is nog heel veel controverse, de hypothese is tot nog toe onbewezen.

Er zijn wel zogenaamde Matrifocale/Matrilineaire culturen, dwz culturen waar relatief meer focus is op moeders/vrouwen, zonder expliciet dominantie te veronderstellen:

De Nari (Kerala, India), de Wemale (Ceram): van deze stammen is bekend dat de mannen primair professionele krijgers zijn, waardoor er een mannentekort is, wat zou kunnen verklaren dat vrouwen daar meer de boel regelen, dit is dus niet bepaald een vreedzame matriarchaat.

De Trobriand (Nieuw Guinea), de Minangkabau (Sumatra): deze stammen zijn matrilineair, de erflijn gaat via de vrouwelijke tak, maar dat is nog geen matriarchaat in de zin van vrouwenheerschappij, want anders zou je ook Jodendom kunnen rekenen tot matriarchaat.

Nu zijn er wel mythes over matriarchale samenlevingen: Amazones etc., maar of die ooit bestaan hebben?

Er zijn krijgshaftige koninginnen geweest:
Alexander de Grote werd teruggedrongen door de Koningin van Nubia, de Romeinen kregen klop van koningin Boudicca en koningin Zenobia.
Wat dit ook moge bewijzen, in ieder geval geen vreedzame matriarchaten!

So far they murdered a million unarmed Tibetans for their religious belief
They’ve laid the land to waste, there is only grief
6000 temples have been destroyed, nuns and monks imprisoned in this drama
And people have been thrown in jail for possessing a picture of His Holiness the Dalai Lama
You better take notice, even if now you think you’re doing fine
When they come knocking through your door

Anti-burka argument: bemoeilijkt de communicatie, omdat je de emoties niet kan herkennen.
Tegen-argument:

Het dragen van een nikab, een hoofddoek waarbij de ogen te zien zijn door een smalle spleet, heeft geen negatief effect op het herkennen van emoties. Dit blijkt uit een eerste onderzoek van de Universiteit van Amsterdam naar het effect van de nikab op de onderlinge communicatie.

Anti-burka argument: vrouw-onvriendelijk, onderdrukkend.
Tegen-argument: wat dacht je van de vrouwen, die bewust uit religieuze overtuigingen zoiets dragen als uiting van hun spiritualiteit?
Anti-burka argument: belemmert integratie in nederland.
Tegen-argument: er moet onderscheid gemaakt worden tussen integratie en assimilatie!
Integratie is volwaardig deelnemen aan de Nederlandse samenleving met behoud van de eigen identiteit. Assimilatie is het opgeven van eigen taal en cultuur.
Wanneer een vrouw in burka bijvoorbeeld kan deelnemen aan het arbeidsproces, doet ze bijdrage aan volwaardig deelnemen aan de maatschappij.
Het is juist het uitsluiten van burka-dragers uit maatschappelijke verkeer, dat integratie belemmert.
Gedwongen assimilatie, door bv burka & geloof te verbieden, is culturele moord.

Als je de burka verbiedt, moet je ook keppeltjes (bij de man) en pruiken (bij de vrouw) verbieden bij orthodoxe joden.

Maar eigenlijk gaat het hier helemaal niet om de burka, dat is maar een symbool.
Het anti-burka sentiment is een vorm van vreemdelingenhaat.

Ik vraag me af: luistert Wilders nu echt naar jan met de pet?
Er weerklinken steeds meer tegenstemmen, niet alleen in Den Haag, maar ook op straat.
Het lijkt of Wilders naar niemand wil luisteren behalve degenen die hem naar de mond praten.

Maar…als de helft van Nederland zich afkeert van Wilders, hoe zit het dan met de andere helft?

Er zijn diverse vertalingen voor het woord Fitna(h) mogelijk, afhankelijk van de context:
toetsing, beproeving, vervolging, verleiding, schisma, oproer, anarchie…

De film ‘Fitna’ werd aangekondigd, maar de Tegenfilm was er eerder, en nu is de oorspronkelijke aankondiger van de film tegen de tegenfilm…

Wat een oproer, wat een beproeving!

Maar wie vervolgt wie, wie wordt er beproeft?

Kijk naar de film en vorm je eigen oordeel…
